WHAT IS IT?
Ghee is a cooking oil also known as clarified butter where the milk solids have been removed. The Panjeeri pot uses traditional methods to produce high quality luscious ghee.
BENEFITS
Ghee is a source of good fats, including omega-3 fatty acids and CLA. It may aid digestion, provide fat-soluble vitamins, and be suitable for those with lactose intolerance.
Ghee is a ‘natural prebiotic’, being rich in Butyric acid which is known to help the gut.

CONSUMING
Ghee can be consumed in various ways:
-
Cooking: Use ghee as a cooking fat for sautéing, frying, or roasting. Its high smoke point makes it suitable for high-temperature cooking.
-
Baking: Incorporate ghee into baking recipes as a substitute for butter or other fats.
-
Drizzling: Drizzle melted ghee over vegetables, popcorn, or cooked dishes to add flavour.
-
Bulletproof Coffee: Some people add ghee to their coffee, creating a beverage known as "bulletproof coffee" for a dose of healthy fats.
-
Spreading: Spread ghee on toast or use it as a substitute for butter in various dishes.
Eating ghee in moderation can be part of a balanced diet. It's a source of healthy fats and can add a rich flavour to dishes. However, since ghee is calorie-dense and high in saturated fat, it's important to consume it in reasonable amounts as part of an overall healthy eating plan. If you have specific dietary concerns or health conditions, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional or nutritionist.
THE SMOKE POINT
The smoke point of ghee is higher than that of regular butter, making it suitable for high-temperature cooking methods. Ghee typically has a smoke point around 400°F (200°C) or higher. This makes it suitable for sautéing, frying, and other cooking methods where high heat is involved.
